NFU Scotland will be back in Brussels today urging Commission officials to speed up the timetable to review sheep EID regulations.
Thu, 29 Mar 2012
NFU Scotland
As well as urging the Commission to review sheep EID they will also be asking the Commission to adopt a Scottish proposal that would only require sheep to be double tagged electronically when they leave the holding of birth.?
In a meeting facilitated by George Lyon MEP, and accompanied by representatives of NSA Scotland, NFU Scotland?s President Nigel Miller will encourage commission officials to take on board the growing volume of evidence regarding sheep EID that has been gathered in Scotland over a period of more than three years.
??
The Scottish tag read rates, recently published by ScotEID, show that compliance standards need to reflect real experience of using EID tags and that a system of electronic identification can be introduced when sheep are leaving the farm and still deliver robust traceability.?
Speaking ahead of the meeting, Mr Miller said:?"Scotland is in a unique position within Europe in terms of providing the Commission with a body of credible evidence on sheep EID. ?That evidence has been generated over several years and is based on Scotland's own sheep EID pilot and two years of statistical analysis of sheep tag read rates through the system Scotland has put in place. ?The figures are clear justification for reform of the existing regulation.?
"Both the 2010 and 2011 statistics on sheep electronic tag read rates in Scotland, published by ScotEID, expose the limitations of both the technology and the tags. ? In that regard, the figures show the need for Europe to put in place a more proportionate compliance system.?
"There is also real evidence, also from Scot EID, that even with compromised read rates on electronic tags, our system delivers excellent traceability and meets all necessary requirements in terms of food safety and disease control. That should be recognised by the European Commission and receive a level of backing and support from it.?
"For Scottish sheep keepers, we need to move compliance requirements away from being based on filling out paperwork and the flock register to simply focus on tagging standards at movement and then properly recording those movements of sheep. ??
?We hope to encourage officials to move the review process for the sheep EID regulation on so we can also look at having our long-standing Scottish option of only electronically double tagging homebred ewes when they leave farm adopted. ?
That common-sense approach would allow homebred ewes to be managed on farm with a single flock identifier and significantly reduce compliance problems, ear tag damage and ear tag retention issues. ?
?
?These are things that can further enhance traceability rather than the perception that the opposite would be achieved."

BARCELONA/MADRID (Reuters) - Spanish workers angry at a labor reform the government calls an "unstoppable" necessity staged a general strike on Thursday, bringing factories and ports to a standstill and igniting flashes of violence on the streets.
Hundreds of thousands attended largely peaceful marches throughout Spain, waving red flags and beating drums against the budget cuts of Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, who was elected by a landslide only four months ago on a mandate to dig the country out of a debt crisis that has unnerved its European neighbors.
Police fired rubber bullets to disperse crowds in downtown Barcelona after hooded youths threw rocks at windows and set rubbish bins alight in Spain's second city, where - as in much of Spain - unemployment has been devastating among the young.
In Madrid, demonstrators chanted slogans and carried banners protesting against the conservative government's measures, which will make it cheaper for companies to fire workers and will dismantle a nationwide system of collective pay bargaining.
"We're here because we are really angry," said Alba Valle, a 23-year-old media technician in the capital who, like almost one young Spaniard in two, cannot find work.
"It's a step backwards for the country."
Though organizers said millions attended evening marches in 110 cities local media estimates, in the absence of data from authorities, put the crowds in only the hundreds of thousands.
Some observers see a degree of resignation about the prospects of avoiding new austerity goals dictated by concerns in the European Union that Spain risks going bust.
At the same time, however, the country is tipping into its second recession since the end of 2009 and some observers expect at least another million people to join already swollen unemployment lines, straining the budget. The jobless rate is already 23 percent, the highest in the 27-member EU bloc.
Spaniards have so far been largely tolerant of Rajoy's efforts to reform labor law, much of which dates back to times when levels of employment were substantially higher. His aim is to meet strict EU-imposed targets for the government budget deficit to ensure Madrid avoids a Greek-style debt crisis.
But the general strike, the first in 18 months, showed that patience may be wearing thin. The largest union put support among its members for the strike at 77 percent. The government said the work day went normally but gave no overall tally.
"We don't have much hope, but this is just the beginning," said Trini Cuesta, a 58-year-old employee at a public hospital in Barcelona. "It's not just about labor reform, we're against policies that are provoking social and economic ruin," she said.
"Social protests must increase."
ALHAMBRA SHUT
Police made a total of 176 arrests and there were 104 injuries, the Interior Ministry said, saying the day had been calm and the strike had limited impact.
It halted production at factories from Barcelona in the northeast to Cadiz in the southwest. Unions reported full stoppages at General Motors Espana, Renault, ArcelorMittal and Acerinox. Urban transport networks were mostly cut to skeleton services.
Rajoy's government said it was committed to making reforms that it argues will help to reduce unemployment by making the labor market more efficient. "The agenda for reform is unstoppable," Labour Minister Fatima Banez said on Thursday.
The police presence was heavy around parliament, where politicians put in a longer work day than usual as Rajoy sought approval for five different measures, including funding for indebted local governments to pay their suppliers.
Union members gathered in major cities where some plastered stickers on shop windows reading "Closed for Strike" - but in fact many of the stores remained open for business.
Tourists were locked out of the Alhambra, the 14th-century Moorish palace in the southern city of Granada that is one of Europe's great cultural monuments and a popular attraction.
Many workers crossed picket lines, saying they feared losing their jobs or losing the average of around 100 euros ($130) to be docked from the pay cheques of strikers.
While Spaniards fortunate to have jobs on traditional contracts are fighting to preserve their benefit, many others, especially the young, can find only short-term contracts of typically six months duration which offer little job security.
Many such workers fear employers might punish them if they go on strike and not renew contracts when they expire - an army of unemployed is waiting at the gate for any job going.
Similar labour reforms, for similar reasons, are being battled over elsewhere in Europe, notably in Italy, where Prime Minister Mario Monti, a technocrat appointed to avert a debt crisis in Rome, has also run into heavy opposition this month.
LONG YEAR OF DEMONSTRATIONS?
Fewer than a fifth of Spanish employees are currently affiliated with the country's two biggest unions and many feel these organizations do not represent the wider workforce.
"A lot of people actually blame the unions in part for the rigidity in the labour market and lack of competitiveness, so they aren't exactly in the position to rally a lot of people and the support for the strike reflects that," said David Bach, political analyst at IE business school in Madrid.
However, union members are ready for a long fight. "This is the largest cut in rights since anyone can remember. There has to be a better way to get out of this crisis," UGT union employee Marta Lois, 40, said on Madrid's Gran Via, a central avenue where protesters blocked traffic early in the day.
"Don't forget this is just the first major event of what is likely going to be a long year of demonstrations against government policies," Antonio Barroso, political analyst with the consultancy Eurasia Group said.
Rajoy said on Tuesday his administration would pass a "very, very, austere budget" on Friday. His goal of cutting the deficit this year to 5.3 percent of gross domestic product implies nominal cuts of at least 35 billion euros ($46.63 billion).
The cuts are meant to keep borrowing costs down as well as working towards meeting the EU's 3 percent budget deficit limit next year. But some economists say they will deepen the looming recession, potentially having the very opposite effect.
Despite the promises to push on with reforms aimed at winning approval from Brussels, Rajoy's People's Party suffered a surprise setback in a regional election on Sunday, meaning he must measure his steps to avoid provoking wider discontent.

SAN FRANCISCO?? Maybe Lord Voldemort put a spell on Amazon.Com on Tuesday.
On the same day that Amazon started selling Harry Potter e-books in a landmark deal, buy buttons on the company's dominant Kindle e-book store disappeared for several hours.
Top-selling e-books, including "The Hunger Games" series and the "Fifty Shades" trilogy, instead had bigger green buttons saying "This title is not available for customers from: United States."
Several Amazon customers complained about the mysterious button disappearance on the company's online Kindle forum.
"What does this mean? Why am I seeing this message? I am from the United States. I want my readers who live in the United States to purchase this book. Any ideas why this is showing up?" someone wrote on the Kindle Direct Publishing online forum.
Amazon spokespeople did not respond to emails and phone messages seeking comment on Tuesday. However, a forum post from Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing unit said it was a "website issue" affecting the buy box for Kindle books and noted that it should be resolved "shortly."
By Tuesday at 3 p.m. Pacific time, the buy buttons were back on listings for "The Hunger Games" series and the "Fifty Shades" trilogy titles.

T+L rounds up the coolest new Disney vacations, including the rides, experiences and hotels.
A pack of Disney villains wants to take over the Magic Kingdom, and it's up to you, as Merlin's apprentice sorcerer, to stop them by unlocking clues to their whereabouts.
Disney spent more than four years perfecting this brand-new role-playing interactive scavenger hunt, Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. And it's just one of the company's inventions this year: cool new experiences are rolling out on every front. Huge expansions at Disney World and Disneyland as well as new guided trips make Disney vacations more appealing than ever.
New Disney rides and adventures will naturally charm kids, but some will resonate more deeply with grown-ups, who can better appreciate the sheer genius that goes into melding the latest technology with nostalgia and Walt's original vision.
A fan of cruising, Walt would surely approve of Disney Cruise Line's Fantasy, which sets sail on its maiden voyage at the end of March 2012. "She was built in Germany at the finest shipyard in the world, Meyer Werft," says Anita Dunham-Potter of ExpertCruiser.com. "No expense was spared, no corners cut; it's first class all the way." Luckily, Art Nouveau-inspired d?cor and an elegant French restaurant coexist with features like the super-cool AquaDuck waterslide, making Disney vacations on this ship fun for all generations.
Could it be that our love of Disney is as much about his idealism and optimistic take on life as it is about character breakfasts? By pulling our heartstrings and reminding us of happy childhood memories, the company is managing to persuade folks of all ages that we're never too old for Disney vacations. As Walt said, "Adults are only kids grown up, anyway."

Orbital?s Paul and Phil Hartnoll may be the landed gentry of electronic music, but that doesn?t mean they?re stuck in their old analog foxhunting ways. When I reach younger brother Paul he?s reveling in the rare English sun, programming a live set for their new album on his laptop.
?We didn?t find a computer approach that was good enough until Ableton software came along,? Hartnoll explains about their move to computers. ?These days everyone?s spoiled. We?ve got too much technology. You have to be disciplined?there is no end to the recording process now.?
Orbital?s first disc since their 2009 reunion, Wonky excels at the kind of hooky, melody-driven techno that made them giants of ?90s electronic music. ?In the old days you could hear the simplicity of music that was made with only a few synths,? Hartnoll says. ?There was a kind of raw joy to it that we?ve tried to maintain.?
A band that?s headlined Glastonbury and Woodstock presumably has all the gear time and money can provide. How do they stay focused?
?I?m not entirely sure? it?s something you instinctively feel over the years,? he muses. ?The first few hours of a song are going to be the heart and soul?the rest of the time is wrestling that into shape. The discipline is knowing when to stop.?
Exposure to Detroit techno was an ear-opening experience for the Hartnoll bros, but their sound derives as much from pop as it does from hardcore dance music. ?If it doesn?t stir me emotionally it?s not working,? Paul affirms. ?The stuff that influenced me was Kraftwerk, Cabaret Voltaire?song-based electronic groups more than my contemporaries.?
Now 43 and with three kids, Hartnoll approaches music from a different perspective than two decades ago, when he and his brother named their group ?Orbital? after the London ring road near which many raves were held in the late ?80s and early ?90s.
?It feels totally refreshed,? he says breathlessly. ?We had to go away and have a break. We were fed up with each other and what we were doing. We had to appreciate what we?d given up. We came back to it wiser, and with knowledge to resurrect creatively, which is an amazing thing to do?to find that it is still very full of life.?
Invited to play England?s Big Chill in 2009, the Hartnolls were so enthused at being back on stage together that they decided to get to work on a new album. The resulting collection of tracks takes its name from the second to last outing, the zany ?Wonky? featuring the wind-up raps of voluble 23-year-old Brit-hopper Lady Leshurr.
Other tracks bear the distinct imprint of the currently inescapable subterranean bass lines of dubstep. ?For me, music is a cultural group experience,? Paul explains. ?We play music to people, we listen, it?s like one big circulated idea, a big melting pot. You take your influences and do it your way. We?ve got modern dubsteppy sounds because we enjoy some of the great stuff going on, but then there?s also a lot of contemporary modern folk music I listen to which influenced it. Influences are unavoidable because music is one big thing we all experience together.?
Orbital returns in May to reprise an appearance at Metamorphose, which was canceled last September amid a typhoon. First on these shores 20 years ago, they?ve headlined all the big events in Japan, including some of the formative ?90s raves on the slopes of Mt. Fuji.
Where will they be another two decades down the road? ?Sitting on this bench, talking to people like you,? Hartnoll affirms. ?Stopping and starting again was the best thing we ever did. We are really fired up and wouldn?t have been as inspired as we are now. Retiring once was great, but I?m not doing that again.?
Metamorphose @Makuhari Messe, May 12 (listing). Wonky is available on Beat Records Mar 28.

Just six months after scoring an unlikely victory in the special election to fill disgraced New York Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner?s seat in Congress, Republican Rep. Bob Turner has successfully won a spot on New York?s Republican senate primary ballot to challenge Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in November.
Despite throwing his hat into the ring at the very last moment, Turner managed to scrounge up the necessary 25-percent support from county Republican parties at Friday?s New York Republican Party Convention. By doing so, he earned himself a place on the primary ballot alongside two other Republicans: Manhattan Attorney Wendy Long and Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos. Long fell just short of the 50-percent support she needed to secure the nomination outright.
?This is happening really quickly,? Turner said in a phone interview with The Daily Caller.
Turner jumped into the race just 72 hours before the convention, after it became clear that he would not likely be able to hold his House seat after redistricting.
Irreconcilable maps drawn by the Democratic-controlled State Assembly and the Republican-controlled State Senate led to the state finally adopting a map drawn by a neutral judge. The resulting map left Turner, already the unlikely representative of a primarily Democratic district, with few options.
?I had planned on defending this seat,? Turner explained.??As of Monday, I was advised that we really didn?t have a district that was defendable.?
?I?ll take a tough fight,? Turner said, but the way the lines were drawn, he not only couldn?t win, ?we couldn?t compete.?
?So I?ve been blocked out of the process and the only avenue open, I think, is the Senate if I want to keep the fight going, and I do,? he said.
Turner?s main argument for his candidacy is the high profile he gained after winning last September?s special election, which became a national race as polls tightened and both Democrats and Republicans poured in money. He cited ?a recognizable name? as one advantage he holds over Long and Maragos. Turner referred to himself as a ?known entity,? something he said would help with fundraising.
He added that he hopes to tap into money from ?Wall Street types,? the ?Jewish community,? as and out of state money to finance his campaign.
?I have a proven record in taking on a very difficult challenge and succeeding,? Turner said. ?I think I have some credibility in a very important community, the Jewish community. The 9th CD [special election] was the first time a Republican had ever won the Jewish vote here, and that?s significant.?
?Also my business background is a little different than the others?. I?ve been in both the media business and worked in raising money financially for my own efforts. I kind of know how business works,? he said.
That high name recognition may be somewhat overstated in New York as a whole. Although Turner pulled off a win in a Democratic-leaning district last year, his golden-boy status does not appear to extend to upstate New York, whose delegations gave Turner only minimal support at the convention.
Turner dismissed those concerns, saying he had pulled off a huge feat just by getting on the ballot, something he had been told ?would be almost impossible? entering the race as late as he did.
?Our message was good, we got enough support just to do that [get on the ballot],? Turner said. ?I think there are some areas of the state where I have to work a lot harder, but I think there?s a big difference between the party structure and the voters.?
?So I?m hoping, and expecting, that I can get the message out to upstate and downstate and get the job done.?
Gillibrand?s campaign aimed its sights on Turner immediately after he entered the race, in what is perhaps a favorable indication for him.
In his previous incarnation as a television executive, Turner was the first to put conservative shock jock Rush Limbaugh on TV. At a time when Limbaugh is a lightning in the ongoing battle between Democrats and Republicans over social issues, Gillibrand?s campaign has started hitting Turner on his Limbaugh connection in fundraising emails.
Turner pooh-poohed that attack.
?I put Rush on the air for a few years,? he said, calling the result ?very successful.?
?He would have stayed on a lot longer if Rush didn?t get tired of the work schedule ? it was tough doing the radio and the television [show].?
He called Limbaugh?s TV program ?well-produced and entertaining,? and noted that ?it was a commercial enterprise,? nothing more.
?I have no apologies, and if they want to beat this dead horse ? that was off the air in ?96 ? they?ve got to do better than that,? Turner said.
Whether or not Turner ? or any Republican candidate ? can put the Senate race in play remains to be seen. As of two weeks ago, before Turner had entered the race, Gillibrand?s seat was considered a safe seat for Democrats, ranked a solidly Democratic seat by the Cook Political Report.
But Turner argued that Gillibrand, who was ranked this year by National Journal as the most liberal senator, is not ?a strong candidate.?
?She?s been kind of a rubber stamp for the party, and established the most liberal voting record in the Senate, and she?s going have to defend her positions on taxes, the deficit, spending, the economy, the job growth, the Dodd-Frank unintended consequences, and on and on,? Turner said.
?And I?ll be hammering away on all of these, that she?s somebody who has not served the interest of this state or the country in getting the economy revived or dealing with the major issues.?
Already, Turner has begun ?hammering away? by holding a press conference Sunday in front of a gas station to attack Gillibrand and the Obama administration for high gas prices.
But Turner says he will treat his two primary opponents differently, heeding concerns voiced by members of the party that a bloody Republican primary would leave the victor with virtually no chance at beating Gillibrand in the general election.
?I have a good deal of respect for both Wendy and George ? we have slightly different approaches on this,? he said.
?Most of the difference is who is the candidate to get the job done against Senator Gillibrand, and I think it?s me. They have a different opinion.?

LONDON (AP) -Two months after writing off Carlos Tevez's career at Manchester City, manager Roberto Mancini could welcome back the Argentina forward in Wednesday's Premier League match against Chelsea in a bid to give his team's faltering title challenge a lift.
Tevez has been training with City for the past month after ending his long-standing rift with the club, which started when he refused to warm up during a Champions League match against Bayern Munich in September.
City lost its five-month lead in the title race to Manchester United last week and is now four points behind after the champions' 5-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
The ousted leaders' game in hand is against fifth-place Chelsea, which is just outside the Champions League places but has been revitalized since the dismissal of manager Andre Villas-Boas at the start of the month.
"He's like a new signing," City defender Joleon Lescott said of the potential return of Tevez, the team's former captain. "All the boys are excited and can't wait for him to get playing again.
"Over the last two years he has probably performed at the highest consistent level as anyone else, so none of us discourage what Carlos has done for the club and obviously what he continues to do."
Chelsea is in a fight for the final two Champions League qualification places with London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal, who are also in midweek action.
Third-place Tottenham, which is 13 points behind City, hosts Stoke while Arsenal, a point further back in fourth and three clear of Chelsea, visits Everton on Wednesday.
Seventh-place Liverpool needs to beat relegation-threatened Queens Park Rangers to keep alive its fading hopes of a top-four finish.
Tottenham said Monday that its match against Stoke will go ahead as scheduled, four days after the team was involved in an FA Cup game in which Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed on the field.
Muamba is still critically ill in a London hospital, with the world of football having united in support of the former England Under-21 player.
Some of Tottenham's players appeared visibly distressed following the 23-year-old Muamba's collapse.
"It is possible that the effects of this could hit some quicker than others and despite these difficult circumstances, we all have to pull together and carry on with our season," Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp said. "We will be providing players with whatever support they need in order to help them move on from what has happened, while obviously always keeping Fabrice at the forefront of our minds and willing him to make a recovery."
Tottenham has lost its last three league games, boosting Arsenal's hopes of claiming third place.
"We've only finished in the top four once. It's not as if we have been there every year," Redknapp said. "If we finish in the top four, we have over-punched our weight to be perfectly truthful. We will have way exceeded expectations."
If Tevez does appear at the Etihad Stadium, his return will come nearly two months to the day that Mancini said it would be "impossible" for the striker to stay at City if he failed to secure a move away in the January transfer window.
Tevez has since repented, apologizing for his conduct following an unauthorized three-month absence spent at home in Argentina.
"Obviously the situation was not great for the club and it looked bad for everyone, but it was dealt with and the bright side is now that we have got him back and got him in the team again," Lescott said.
Bosnia international Edin Dzeko's form has dipped in recent months and he could be the striker to make way for Tevez against Chelsea, which has won four matches in a row since Roberto Di Matteo took temporary charge following the firing of Villas-Boas.
The latest victory was a 5-2 win over Leicester in the FA Cup quarterfinals, when Fernando Torres ended a career-worst scoreless streak of 26 games by scoring two goals.
"Hopefully his confidence is going to be high," Di Matteo said of the Spain striker.

Internet Advertising is something which will have a large amount of benefits for both online and real world organizations. Many small business owners decide to market their business and they don?t even know there are plenty of available benefits. When it comes to advertising any type of business you?re going to see that it is a difficult thing to do, as well as the same goes for Internet Marketing. Whether you are doing traditional advertising and marketing or Internet Advertising there?s going to be plenty of work involved. If you have the appropriate knowledge of Internet marketing and advertising, you can use it to build up your business, even if it is offline.
It hasn?t taken a very long time for the Internet to become the form of communication used by most men and women, and it is even becoming the place men and women are doing their shopping. One of the main reasons folks are now doing most of their shopping on the web is because they?re able to get better deals and they don?t need to waste time in a store. This a primary reason that Internet Advertising and marketing is actually a good way to market any kind of business. By now you ought to understand that marketing your offline products on the internet you are going to have the ability to create more revenue. Loads of mom and pop shops are putting their products on the internet, namely Ebay, and they?re finding great success with increasing their revenue utilizing this strategy. Generac 5734 GP15000E review
Traditional marketing methods are considerably more expensive than using Internet advertising, and there aren?t any flyers or brochures needed. Think about precisely how easy it is to utilize the Internet as opposed to using radio or TV marketing, managing a call center or printing brochures. Another thing you need to be thinking about is the vastness of the Internet, you need to bear in mind that when marketing online, the planet is your customer. You might also see that folks will be searching specifically for what ever product you are advertising. I should also point out that you?ll be producing more revenue because men and women are actually searching for your product. Carpal Tunnel Secrets Unleashed
Every single day of the year you are able to be opened, if you have a web based store, and that?s a great advantage. If you don?t see the value yet with advertising on the web just compare the price of marketing online to other real world marketing and advertising costs. Even men and women that are just starting a business have already learned that they?re able to reach millions of men and women if they decide to promote online. As opposed to using phones to contact your potential customers you?ll find that e-mail and instant messaging are the new ways that men and women are keeping in contact. One more thing I should point out is you will have an advantage over your competition when you start to advertise on the net mainly because of your potential customer base.
One final thing that I ought to point out is that with regards to marketing online you will see that there are lots of different methods in which this can be done. You will discover the awareness of your company is going to be increased, and you are able to produce a relationship with your customers. When you realize what Internet advertising can do for your business, it?s there for you to take advantage of. Napoleon AS300K Apollo 3-in-1 Smoker review

If you think that your house needs sprucing up, then you can turn to effective methods on how you can improve its looks. You can work your way from the top down to the bottom, and think of several ways on how you can make the project achievable than ever. Among the methods available, changing Atlanta garage doors, adding a functional space, and altering the theme of your bedroom would come in first in the priority list.
No matter how expensive these projects may be, most homeowners often push through with the tasks for the purpose of achieving a well-decorated and comfortable residence. To help you with your own, here is a list of areas in the home that need renovation.
The first nook in your property that requires attention is the kitchen. Since you spend most of the time preparing your food here, the area must be designed to be functional. Your counters and floors should not be hazardous. More so, there should be good ventilation so the entire home will not be filled with smoke.
If you want to alter the appearance of your living room, then one of the best means is to repaint the walls. You might be surprised by the effect a new color would bring to your interiors. For better results, opt for neutral and earth tones. This will enhance the decorations and furniture pieces that you have in your living room.
To boost your home value, the wisest thing to do is to add another functional space in your house. It could be a patio or another den. You can turn them into great nooks for your family. More so, you can incorporate accessories and good-looking furniture as well. For a gorgeous appeal even at night, put lighting fixtures.
Lastly, your bedroom is the place where you take a rest and spend your time mostly. That is why it should also exude comfort and beauty. It therefore makes sense to invest in a comfortable bed as well as chairs. For added beauty, choose a paint color that would reflect your personality. You can decorate it with classy and elegant accessories as well.
All of these can be possible if you seek the help of experts. Though you can do it yourself, but professionals can provide you with excellent services. That is why you should also look for the best ones so you can be sure of top-class results in the end.
Searching for them is easier too. You can ask your neighbors and friends for skilled people whom they teamed up with before. Once you have their names, you can check with the associations if they are reputable and have good standing in your area.
All of these property remodeling tasks can definitely add value to your home. Thus, you must invest your time, effort, and money in order to achieve the look that you have in mind. From changing Atlanta garage doors to adding a patio, you can surely enhance the beauty of your abode more.

What exactly is fantastic if you do on-the-web surveys to gain income is always that you are able to get it done whenever you want to. Even though you just woke up and also have a bad hair day if not still in your pajamas you could open your computer, browse the net, and post your opinion. It can be pretty much simple and comfy. It is an income generating gig which you do on-line. You can perhaps have a lot of fun while doing it and above all, by way of express paid surveys you help businesses enhance their product before even launching it or perhaps right after introducing it. At this moment, do you start to see the great thing about on-line surveys? I guess you surely do. What exactly is the next consideration would be how to spot the very best paid survey programs online. Below are ideas to spot the very best surveys to help you.
First, study the firm. In order to get paid for taking surveys you have to do a background check on the trustworthiness of the business. You can do this by way of searching for firm reviews on the web or otherwise you may ask other people feedback. However in doing so, be careful and avoid fake reviews. You may try yahoo answers or perhaps check out forums to avoid fake reviews concerning express paid surveys which might have been published by the firm themselves.
Second, browse for contact detail. Contact detail is quite crucial for legitimate companies who provide express paid surveys. Contact info of a legitimate survey internet site could be found in an easy to spot location of their website. If you have got second thoughts on their email information, you could send them an email and request a response to determine if the website email account is legitimate. Furthermore, you could perhaps call them to be certain that the number is actually working. Spotting fraudulent sites through this technique is surely a superb way.
Third, look over and understand business conditions and terms. Particularly, familiarize the pay structure of the internet site to be certain that they are really giving express paid surveys for real. You will find those websites that say they offer funds but then turn out to offer only prizes. Lastly, in no way pay for on-the-internet surveys. This type of payment structure in which they ask you to pay first is pretty obvious scam.

BERLIN (AP) ? German airline Deutsche Lufthansa AG says it expects lower profits this year as high fuel prices and economic uncertainties weigh on earnings.
The company said Thursday its operating profit is expected to slide from euro820 million ($1.1 billion) in 2011 to a "mid three-figure million euro range" in 2012.
The forecast came as Lufthansa presented its full-year report, a week after announcing it made a 2011 net loss of euro13 million because of costs at its troubled British Midland International subsidiary.
In other details, Lufthansa says the contribution of its passenger business to the 2011 operating profit was down by 44.5 percent from euro629 million to euro361 million because of higher fuel costs and new air traffic taxes in Germany and Austria.

Political campaigns are about heart and soul, but in the end it's the numbers that count. Mitt Romney clearly is ahead in the delegate count, and one prominent Republican says "this thing is about over."
In some ways, Mitt Romney is the Rodney Dangerfield among presidential candidates. He certainly gets ?no respect? from his GOP rivals.
Skip to next paragraphRick Santorum calls him a ?very desperate? man who ?reinvents himself for whatever the political occasion calls for."
Newt Gingrich, ever the history professor, says Romney is ?probably the weakest Republican front-runner since Leonard Wood." (Bonus points for knowing that Leonard Wood was the Army general who lost the GOP nomination to Warren G. Harding in 1920. He did have a US Army fort in Missouri named for him, however.)
Press reporting continues to dwell on Romney?s short-comings as a candidate as well ? his Richie Rich persona, his cringe-worthy attempts to seem folksy (a new-found appetite for southern biscuits and cheesy grits), the distance rightward he?s traveled since his days as a moderate Republican, his failure as front-runner to deliver a ?knockout blow? ? a favorite phrase of headline writers after Super Tuesday.
And, besides, the worst thing in the world for political pundits would be to have the GOP nominating race over and eight months to go until the election.
RECOMMENDED:?How much do you know about Mitt Romney? A quiz.
But while Gingrich compares himself to the tortoise in the race, it is Romney who has been steadily building up his delegate count in a way that makes him almost unstoppable.
So far, he?s won 56 percent of the delegates available in primaries and caucuses; Santorum has won 24 percent, and Gingrich has won 14 percent, according to an Associated Press calculation.
He?s also ahead among Republican National Committee members, who are automatic delegates. And among ?bound? delegates (those obliged to vote for a particular candidate at the party convention), Romney leads with 339 compared to 107 for Gingrich and 95 for Santorum. Overall, according to the Real Clear Politics tally, Romney has 453 delegates, Santorum has 199, Gingrich has 117, and Ron Paul has 64. He also enjoys an average 10-point lead over his rivals in national polls of Republicans.

Guertin's punishment duty is part of a deal the mayor and union announced Thursday to fully staff the rescue truck until June 30 at no cost to taxpayers, City Solicitor William Cox said.
Guertin, a member of the union's leadership board, served his first punishment shift Thursday night on the rescue truck.
"He was aware the city was contemplating discipline for his comments about the mayor, so they came in and worked out an agreement," Cox said of Guertin, local union president Greg Roberts and Edward Kelly, president of the state firefighters union.
Cox said he does not believe the mayor or Public Safety Commissioner Alan DeNaro considered firing Guertin, as far as he knows.
Cox also said Guertin's decision to apologize to Fiorentini for the comments at a press conference covered by a throng of media was voluntarily.
"I deeply regret the comment," Guertin said. "It was an emotionally charged statement and I am deeply sorry."
Firefighters have agreed that two of their men will work the rescue truck for free for the next two weeks. After that, firefighters who accepted unpaid punishment duty for their role in last year's EMT certification scandal will serve their hours on the rescue truck. The mayor said he is hopeful the city will be able to find money to fully staff the rescue truck with paid time in the fiscal year that begins July 1.
The rescue truck accord was struck 15 minutes before Thursday's 2:30 p.m. press conference in the mayor's office at City Hall, Fiorentini said. The press conference was originally scheduled to be held in front of the burned-out Washington Street home where Lamot died.
The union met and voted Wednesday night to call for Fiorentini's resignation at the press conference, but all that changed when the two sides reached the agreement on the rescue truck and Guertin's punishment.
Hours after the deadly blaze, firefighters said Lamot may have survived if Fiorentini had not cut two men from the rescue truck last week. The mayor made the cut to cover a $200,000 deficit in the department's overtime budget.
Public safety officials and the mayor maintain the cuts to the rescue truck had nothing to do with Lamot's death.

Heather Sugg won't be on the sidelines next season when the Todd Beamer High School girls basketball team takes the court.
The popular coach was told earlier this week by the school's athletic director, Jerry Peterson, that she will not be rehired because the program has decided to go in a different direction. Sugg had been the Titans' head varsity coach for the past four years and was the head junior varsity coach for the previous two seasons. Like several coaches at Beamer, she is not a school district employee.
The news came out of nowhere, according to Sugg, who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in early 2010. The 38-year-old has still received no explanation from school or district officials as to why her contract was not renewed.
"I feel like I got slapped in the face and shoved under the bus," Sugg said Friday. "I'm heartbroken. I've cried all week. Maybe there's another door that will open, but right now I'm just trying to comprehend it and take it all in. I love coaching."
According to Sugg, there was no communication with Peterson or any other Federal Way administrators before she was let go. Sugg said she had not heard about anything she was doing wrong within the basketball program.
Sugg did say there are rumors floating around that some parents of players on the Beamer junior varsity team had sent letters to the school board regarding the program. But neither Peterson nor anybody else have acknowledged that the letters exist or have shown them to Sugg. Peterson has not yet returned a call by The Mirror for comment. He told the Seattle Times: "Todd Beamer High School appreciates everything she has done for the girls basketball program."
"They never gave me a chance to fix things if there was something wrong," said Sugg, who is a stay-at-home mom and mother of four. "They would not give me a reason why. If it was my win-loss record, then tell me. I never even got a chance to fix what's wrong and that's what I can't wrap my brain around."
Peterson sent Sugg a text on the morning of March 5, asking if she could meet with him.
"I just assumed we would be talking about summer stuff and getting things on the calendar," she said. "When I sat down, he couldn't look at me."
That's when Peterson told Sugg that Beamer would not re-hire her to be the Titans' girls basketball coach.
"Obviously, I lost it," Sugg said. "I was very upset and asked him why. What did I do wrong? I just kept asking."
Sugg has since sent emails to both Randy Kaczor, the principal at Todd Beamer, and Federal Way Superintendent Rob Neu, but hasn't gotten a response from either, she said.
Sugg was hired by Peterson to be the head coach before the 2008-09 season, after she spent two years as the JV coach at Beamer. The Titans finished 3-16 during Sugg's first season and were 2-17 the following year, which included her being diagnosed with a brain tumor midway through the year.
However, Beamer responded with the program's best season ever last year by finishing 13-10 and advancing into the West Central District Tournament for the first time. The Titans finished this season with an 8-12 overall record with an extremely young roster.
"It takes time to build a program," she said. "It doesn't happen overnight. I feel that I've done things right. I made sure things were in order."
After every season, coaches are evaluated regarding every aspect of their program. And, according to Sugg, everything on her 2011-12 coaching evaluation came back positive.
"All I want to know is why," she said. "If I'm a bad coach, just tell me. I feel bad for the girls. I think I've been a pretty good role model for those girls. I think they learned a lot when I got sick. They learned that you don't give up fighting, just like on the basketball court. They never gave up when they were losing and left everything on the court."
In terms of her health, Sugg said the brain tumor didn't affect her coaching one bit since she took a leave of absence for the final four games of 2009-10. She was back on the Beamer bench at the start of last season and led the Titans to the West Central District for the first time. In fact, she said that coaching the Beamer basketball team helped take her mind off the cancer treatment.
"It's nice to have that outlet. I could focus on them and what we are going to do."
Sugg had an MRI scan last week and the tumor in her brain "is good," she said. "It's just sitting there and it hasn't moved or grown. It's good. There is no issue there. If I would have even thought that my health would endanger these girls, I would have stepped down. I would never put anybody at risk."
